The Imperia cycle path: an impressive sea-view route

Inaugurated on July 02, 2022, the Imperia bike path runs along the former, now decommissioned, mostly sea-viewing, now renovated railway route connecting Borgo Prino to San Lorenzo al Mare. An excellent opportunity to explore this wonderful coastal stretch at leisure, admiring the landscape and avoiding traffic.

Imperia Cycle Path:
From Borgo Prino to Ospedaletti

This new stretch of road connects to the already existing cycle path that, from San Lorenzo al Mare, reaches all the way to Ospedaletti. Perfect for both pedestrians and bicycles. The cycle path continues along the Riviera di Ponente, connecting with the route from Imperia to Bussana Mare and the subsequent stretch that goes from Bussana Mare to Ospedaletti.

Near Barbarossa the panorama opens up for you to enjoy, offering suggestive glimpses of the sea. It is possible to stop in designated rest areas, equipped with benches and information signs on the local flora and fauna.

Here you can also find the information signs showing the future projects for the cycle path that will affect the municipality of Imperia, designed to connect the towns of Oneglia and Porto Maurizio. A prospect with a high landscape value that is part of the broader project of the famous Tyrrhenian cycle route from Rome to Ventimiglia.
